Portrait FAQ’s

Let’s face it…whether you are a seasoned pro at having your photos taken or you are a newbie, we all have questions. Below you will find some of the most common.  If you have a question that is not below, please send me an email here and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. 

Austin Portrait sessions start at $169.

$169 Photo Session!
40 minute Portrait Session for up to 6 People. $10 each additional. You get about 40 minutes with me on location, my choosing of edited photos in color and black & white in an online viewing/sharing gallery, and ALL digital images in gallery for download with print release! Once I receive the notification I will be in touch via email to schedule your date, time, & location.

$295 for a Senior or Newborn Session.60-90 minutes delegated to your graduating senior or precious newborn. Senior photos are done outdoors at one location (additional location is $50). Newborn sessions are done in your home within 10 miles of Austin. Travel can be accommodated for an extra fee based on distance.
Once I receive the notification I will be in touch via email to schedule your date, time, & location.

Do you offer a cd in any of your packages?
No. CD’s are slowly becoming a thing of the past! I don’t even have a disc drive in my Mac, I opted for another 8GB of memory instead.  Before we know it, they’ll be collecting dust with the VHS, Floppy Discs and Cassette tapes we used to love. Your images are available for download through your online viewing/sharing gallery. You will receive an email with the gallery link as well as a download PIN. I do offer a custom wooden USB of your images for an additional $75. 

What if my family/friends would like to order the images online? Is there a website they go to?
Yes! You will be provided a link to an online gallery that you can not only share with your friends and family so they can view your photos, but they can also order prints directly from the site to be sent to their home!

Do you have backup equipment?

Will my images be posted on social networking sites?
Yes, some of the images will be posted on Facebook, Instagram, my online portfolio, etc.  If you would rather opt out of Facebook/Instagram, please let me know and I will make note of it and not share on social media. 

Is there a retainer fee?
Yes, 50% must be paid in full at the time of booking to reserve your date and time. This retainer is non-refundable.  Price differs with variables such as amount of time, location, number of people, and the amount of digitals or products purchased. Retainers are non-refundable.  Sales, specials, or “deals” must be paid in full and are non-refundable. Gift certificates expire one calendar year from the date of issuance and all monies paid are forfeited. If acclimate weather should cause a cancel of session date/time a rescheduled date will be offered to fit both our scheduled to the best of my ability. 

What is your cancellation policy?
If a session is cancelled 24 hrs or less of the schedule shoot time, client agrees to forfeit 100% of the retainer fee.

In the event of a sick child, inclement weather, or some other event outside of our control, we will reschedule to an alternate date within 30 days of the original session.  After 3 months, if a new session has not been scheduled, all monies paid are forfeited by the client.

Do you offer mini-sessions?
Yes!  I offer mini session once per year at $99.  You must pre-schedule and pay the entire session cost up front in order to secure your date & time.  Mini sessions are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.  If you would like to be notified of the next mini session date 24 hours BEFORE the public, please sign up for my email list or Follow me on Facebook!
 I never spam but I do send out contests, discounts, and specials ONLY to my email list. 

Can you hold my date without a deposit?
Unfortunately, no. I require a retainer fee to reserve a date.

How long before I receive my photos after my session?
During busy seasons, it can take up to 3 weeks to receive the images.

Do you offer holiday cards?
Yes! Please contact me for details on design options.

Will we own the copyright to the images from our session?
No. I retain the copyright to all images that I take however, you will receive a personal print release for any images you elected to receive as a digital download or on your custom USB. This release allows the images to be used for personal printing, personal blogs, social media, etc. This release does not allow you to edit in any way or the use of the images for any commercial endeavors without express written consent.
