When Christina and I first met for a consultation to see if we were a good fit, we sat for 2 hours chatting over topa chico at a little Austin Deli. We talked about history, old architecture, her finishing her degree, and we talked until they were taking in all the chairs around us on the patio to close.
I had the pleasure of being able to capture their small wedding at Belle Oaks Inn in Gonzales, Texas on May 30th. Big rain clouds threatened the day but eventually floated away to reveal a beautiful night for the pair. I felt at home surrounded by their closest friends, especially Christina’s ladies, who really pulled everything together all while smiling and laughing.
If you get the chance to visit Gonzales, TX (1 hour from Austin) I recommend staying at the Bell Oaks Inn. The neighborhood is bathed in old south of magnolia trees, plantation style homes, and a slower feel. The downtown has a 60’s storefront nostalgia like time hasn’t touched it or you just arrived with Marty McFly from Back to The Future. I will definitely be back with my little family.
